Servers attend to guests in the restaurant assisting in placing their order and making sure they get their food and beverages in a timely manner.
They greet guests with a smile and engage in friendly conversation with them to cultivate a hospitable, welcoming environment.
Servers are knowledgeable about the food, beverages on the menu so they can explain dishes to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or styles of food preparation.
Servers are alos knowledgeable about the casino, specials, promotions and upcoming events.
Servers submit orders to the kitchen and bring food out to guests when it is ready, filling their drinks and checking on other tables in the meantime.
They help their tables pay their bill and make correct change, keeping track of receipts and tips.
In addition to caring for guests, Servers help maintain a clean and sanitary environment by bussing tables, sweeping floors, wiping menus and completing other shift related tasks.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Greet guests, and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout their experience.
Knowledge of the food and beverage menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, correctly using the ordering system Take special note of food allergies or preferences, and be able to communicate that clearly to kitchen staff.
Understand and communicate what's on the menu, answering questions guests might have, and making recommendations on menu selections to customers if necessary Coordinate all appetizers, sauces, food and beverage to ensure timely delivery of all services Accurately deliver food to customers, making sure that what comes out of the kitchen is correct and appealing before taking it to the table.

Manage customer queries and ensure appropriate resolution of all customer queries Provide assistance to customers and ensure optimal level of satisfaction in restaurant Collect payment from customers accurately and honestly Adheres to health and safety codes keeping restaurant clean and sanitized at all times Help with basic food prep as needed, and/or perform light cleaning in the dining, serving stations, or kitchen areas Keep serving stations stocked as well as keeping the dining area clean and prepared for new guests Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance.
Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards, including internal controls and Elwha River Casino Hand book.
Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.

Qualifications:
Minimum age requirement 21 years or older Prior experience as a server, in a high volume restaurant environment of 2yrs
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must pass background check and UA testing prior to employment Have the ability to speak effectively to groups of employees, customers and the public Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation procedures.
Working knowledge of computer, programs, and POS system Exceptional guest service skills required.
Ability to work in a fast paced and multi-tasking environment desired.
Basic math skills which include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Test is required.
Skills in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by TGA, Washington State Driver's license, Washington state food handlers and alcohol serving permit.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
A valid gaming license from the Lower Elwha Tribal Gaming Commission.
A valid Washington State driver's license.
Acquire a Clallam County Food Handlers Card Completion of BSA Title 31 Training Acquire Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) Permit Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job Exposure to hazardous chemicals, hot and cold environment Have ability to bend at waist, back and knees with minimal or no limitations.
Occasionally able to lift up to 50lbs over waist or shoulder heights.
Preform actions with constant use of fingers, wrists and hands with minimal or no limitations.
Able to stand or walk on feet for periods of time up to or exceeding 8hrs.
Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in an environment that is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and /or humid conditions, work environmental factors that include noise, music, electronic sounds and running equipment.
